269) runs north and south through the city
providing easy access for local produce to major
markets. 5,579 residents call Huron their
hometown.

the long harvest season, April to November, the
city's population increases to over 9,000. The
local economy is primarily based in agricultural
and ag-related industry. Fresno, the County seat,
is sixty miles north of Huron, and San Francisco
